Who We Are

The Bleckley Inn was the vision of Steve Kay; an Electrician, Entrepreneur, Developer, and Innkeeper, who has invested his time, money and passion into his hometown. Steve grew up in Anderson and has deep roots in the Electric City. His grandmother was fondly known as “Momma Kay” around town, and his great-grandfather ran a streetcar in the early 1900s.

Steve started working at Hill Electric when he was 18 and ended up buying the company in 1991. He transitioned ownership of Hill Electric to a younger generation and was then ready for a new challenge.

The Bleckley Inn, a boutique downtown hotel, opened in March of 2011. The Bleckley Inn provides long term apartments, hotel rooms and suites, meeting and multiple event spaces for intimate and large gatherings. We are proud for Anderson to call The Bleckley their own.
